It all started with Mr. John Stanley, who launched his venture in the 1970s and slowly became the cherished businessman we admire today. His sons, Justin and Julian, contributed significantly to the pub's success by helping manage it.

Now run by Avril Roberts, she has a professional yet friendly manner and has made Stanley's Cask a great success, introducing live music and an array of cask ales (which change on a regular basis)​
Staff members at Stanley's often stay for as long as possible, including the infamous Auntie Sheila, who has been there since the beginning
